” This is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3: 13-17
” 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Hebrews 10:7
” Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”
Galatians 4: 4-5
” But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His son, into our hearts crying Abba, Father! So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir through Christ.”
God sent His son, born of a woman looks back to God’s promise in regard to the seed of the women. (Gen 3:15) ” And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise His heel.”
Matthew 1:23
” Behold the virgin, shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us”
A child is born, but a son was given, by God, for the sins of the world. He was God with us. He was born for our benefit, for the redemption of mankind. He came that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly. He came to restore us back to God. He is the Prince of Peace. His peace He left with us. And because of Christ , we have obtained peace with God. ” Romans 5: 1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
” …..Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10
Amen.
