He is a loving father.
He wants what is best for us.
He is there to guide you through life. To reveal Himself to you, to reveal His love and kindness, that you may gain eternal life – His ultimate goal.
He wants to guide us into what is right as well as what is best for us in this life.
Proverbs 3:6
” In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy paths.”
Psalms 37:23
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He deligteth in His ways. “
Jeremiah 29:1
” I know the thoughts I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you and expected end.”
God is (omniscient), He knows all, (omnipresent), sees all and hears all. He has all power (omnipotent), over all things and the ability to change anything at anytime. He is in full control.
Everything in the earth belongs to Him. Psalms 24:1 …” The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.” (KNJV)
He is the ultimate source of all things. For he created everything, including us. Because of this, we need to hear God, follow His instructions for life, look to him, that He may carry out His plan for our lives. We must recognize our insufficiency and Gods sufficiency to accomplish this plan. We must be workers with God, following Him as He leads us by His Holy Spirit. We do not in our own natural selves, have the ability to fulfill the plan He has for us. We must rely on Him.
God is not a tyrant or a dictator. He does not abuse His authority. He is a God of purpose.
Isaiah 53:5 says, Christ was ” wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah also says, ” He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows, He was oppressed and afflicted” 53:10 says, “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.”
He suffered for us, took our sins that we may be reconnected back to God and become heirs of salvation with him. Now we must be conformed to His Image, to be like Him, when He returns. If we want to reign with him, we must also suffer with Him. Christ said, ” In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Life does not come without hurts, heartaches, pain, disappoints or even loss. Christ is there to help us through. As we go through these difficult times in our lives, He will reveal himself to us, the love and kindness of the Father and His ability to deliver us. We are never alone, ” …for He (The Father) has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 Just as He never left Christ alone, He will be with us likewise. For we have His Holy Spirit in us and Christ our High Priest and advocate before the Father on our behalf.
His instructions are for our well being, for our coming up, not our going down.
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
