The Word Made Flesh
John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created through Him and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. 4 Life was in Him and that life was the light of men. 5 That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it.
John 3:31-36
He came from Heaven
31 The One who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth is earthly and speaks in earthly terms. The One who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He testifies to what He has seen and heard, yet no one accepts His testimony. 33 The one who has accepted His testimony has affirmed that God is true. 34 For God sent Him, and He speaks God’s words, since He gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands. 36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
John 1:29-31
Is the “Lamb of God” that came to take away the sins of the world
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is the One I told you about: ‘After me comes a man who has surpassed me, because He existed before me.’ 31 I didn’t know Him, but I came baptizing with water so He might be revealed to Israel.”
John 1:14, 17
Came full of Grace and Truth
14 The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
17 for the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:44
Moses wrote about Him in the Law and so did the prophets
44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael, and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law (and so did the prophets): Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth! ”
For God so loved the world
John 3:16-17
16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
The word became flesh to dwell amongst us. The only begotten one of a kind son of the Father came and delivered man from sin to reconcile Him back to God. Will you follow Him today and receive eternal life?
